Blasted Back

As the clouds which looked so dark move closer to our co-ordinates,

I can sense the thunderous sound blasting through my mind,

Blasting me back to a few years back.

When I first knew you,

The sky was blue and the air was clear.

Everything thing seems so magical when you were near,

The adrenaline making my heart pumping faster then it ever had.

As the raindrops fall onto the evergreen top,

Reality wet my little world.

I struggled to open my eyes to search for you,

Only to find the bleak hope shattered into fragments.

With the chants of the tears of heaven surrounding me,

It dawn onto me that you are gone...

But the feeling stays. Would you stay?

Game of Life

As dawn pour its heavenly rays upon us,

I failed to notice the dark shadows that are cast from us.

As I turn back to look at the skyline,

I failed to notice your flowing hair losing it scent.

As the clouds afar draws near to where we stand,

I failed to notice the doves through the mist.

As you stepped back from my arms,

I failed to notice that you were uneasy.

As I stand alone,

I failed to realise that I lost.

Lost in the Game of Life.

Lalala...

From the hill top my dream shattered,

Jolting to a sudden wake.

For a moment I thought I lost.

Yet only to find the weight of you,

Peacefully lying on my shoulders.

Looking at the rising sun,

Reaching your face with a breath.

I feel blissed with you around.

Will the moment last or is it another dream,

only yet to be shattered?
